Family Biz Builder’s Literacy & Education Initiative helps young people build the reading, writing, and academic skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Through engaging learning experiences, mentorship, and literacy-focused programming, we help students develop confidence as learners while strengthening the foundation needed for lifelong success.
Our goal is simple: help every child discover the power of reading and the confidence that comes with it.
Why Literacy Matters
Reading is one of the most important skills a child can develop.
Strong readers are more confident learners, stronger communicators, and better prepared for future opportunities in school and the workforce.
Unfortunately, many students fall behind in reading during their early years, which can impact their academic progress and confidence.
The Literacy & Education Initiative was created to help close that gap by providing students with engaging opportunities to strengthen their reading and learning skills in a supportive environment.

READBuddies Literacy Program
One of the key components of our literacy initiative is the READBuddies Program, which encourages young readers to develop a love for books through engaging reading experiences.
READBuddies connects students with mentors who help bring stories to life through discussion, reflection, and interactive reading activities.
The program helps students develop stronger reading comprehension, language skills, and a deeper appreciation for learning.
Through READBuddies, reading becomes more than an academic requirement—it becomes an enjoyable and empowering experience.
